Transition to PCMS Timeline

 

2018 PCMS Transition Current 6th Grade/Rising to 7th Grade

Listed below is the process for current 6th graders to begin thinking about the transition to the middle school and their courses for their upcoming 7th-grade year at PCMS as well as several important upcoming dates and events.

Wednesday, March 20th - Thursday, March 21st, 2019:  

Elementary parent conferences

Monday, April 8th:

    PCMS principal & school counselors visit the three elementary schools

    Parent Night: Transitioning to the Middle School

Wednesday, April 10th- Thursday, April 19th: PowerSchool portal for course selection is open

Monday, May 20th: Sixth Grade Transition Day

Mid/Late August: Schedules will be mailed home along with other important beginning-of-the-year information

Late August:  Broadcast email with blocks of times for building tours

The first day of school:  Extended Titan Time period to begin the day and get acclimated
