2018 PCMS Transition Timeline: Current 7th Grade/Rising to 8th Grade
Listed below is the process for current PCMS 7th graders along with several important upcoming dates and events regarding their transition to Grade 8:
Wednesday, March 14th thru Monday, March 26th:
Grade 7 Teachers enter course recommendations via Power Teacher
During this time period, Grade 7 teachers will make their course level recommendations for Math, ELA, and foreign language in Power Teacher. Teachers will also communicate with their students regarding level recommendations.
Thursday, April 12th thru Friday, April 20th:
PowerSchool portal for course selection is open for rising 8th graders
Beginning at approximately 8 am on April 12th, current 7th-grade students and parents can log into their PowerSchool accounts and select their course requests for the 2018-2019 school year. The portal will remain open until Friday, April 20th at 4:00 pm. Students and parents will receive a copy of the registration worksheet to help them with the course registration process.
Mid/Late August:
Schedules will be mailed home along with other important beginning-of-the-year information. Please be sure to sign up for weekly broadcast emails from PCMS.
